Network marketing sales slumps suck! Just like in any other business, there will be times that you do everything right and for some reason or another things will just not work out in your favor! It will make you question your abilities, skill sets, and if you’re not careful can mentally get the best of you, and cause you to quit your business!
So if your going through the frustration of a sales slump I feel your pain! The reason I’m qualified to tell you this is because in my ten plus years in different aspects of sales I have been there and done that, and it’s probably the reason why I no longer have any hair! Just kidding!
But seriously, sales slumps will happen whether your new to network marketing, or a seasoned veteran in the industry. What you do about and how your work through them will ultimately determine your level of success!
3 Simple Ways To Overcome Network Marketing Sales Slumps
1. Manage Your Frustration: (Don’t Take It Personal) The most important aspect to remember is not to take a sales slump personal. It’s part of the process. You have to sort through prospects to find the ones who are serious about your products, services, and opportunity.
Not everyone will be interested in what you’re offering and you must take that into account in advance so that you don’t set the wrong expectation for yourself which can set you up for failure! Remember it’s a numbers game!
2. Get Back To The Basics: Most times what I have found through my own personal experiences is that if I don’t stick to the basics of what I know works regarding prospecting, presenting, closing, and getting someone started, I will find myself off script and before you know I’m not following the proven system laid out for me.
Often times networkers find their selves in network marketing sales slumps because they fail to follow proven strategies that are working for other successful distributors in their company and want to things their way, thus reinventing the wheel!
If you want to get the results and success that others have in your opportunity have, implement what has worked for them and don’t deviate no matter how smart you are, or how simple what they tell you to do is! They are successful for a reason!
3. Keep A Positive Mental Outlook: This right here will take a little work when your frustrated but is the key to ensuring that you work through and conquer network marketing sales slumps. You must do your best to keep your eye on the prize and what’s in front of you, as opposed to getting emotionally attached to previous outcomes.
You’re going against the grain to work yourself out of a job or create passive income to do whatever it is you like! NO one said it was going to be easy or else everyone would be doing it! Just because the last prospect said NO doesn’t mean that the next one will. You must maintain a positive and motivated attitude with a focus on the future and all you will accomplish instead of focusing on the past and what you can’t change! Release the baggage!
