Blog - Marry The Process And Endure The Pain To Achieve Your Payoff
Often times we try with our best intentions to accomplish something new in life that will help us get ahead and improve our quality of living. Along the way we encounter setbacks, learn that the road we planned on taking was a little too rough, and end up quitting on what we set out to do!
Over time all those goals we once dreamed of accomplishing never happen, and we are left stuck living a life that is far below our true potential!
Today I want to shed some light on what’s really required of you, if you’re serious about changing your situation, accomplishing your goals, and creating the lifestyle you have always dreamed of!
Let me start off by stating that everything has a process. A process is a fundamental law in life that can’t be changed. After all you can’t bake a good tasting cake from scratch, if you don’t follow the recipe and the baking process.
The same holds true for any and everything you want to accomplish in life! Getting in shape and eating healthier is a process. Buying a new car is a process, becoming a top-notch entrepreneur or business leader is a PROCESS!
The problem is that most people want to bypass the process and get the payoff without going through the PAIN.
Pain is required to birth greatness ~ Bishop Dale C. Bronner
Now when we talk about pain, we’re talking about enduring whatever comes with the process that may be uncomfortable. It can be setbacks, failures, rejection, or learning how to master a new process, you name it!
For most this is where they will raise their white flag of surrender and give up! Pain is part of the process, and is necessary to build the intestinal fortitude required to accomplish your goals. You will have to endure pain period. There’s no way around it, so embrace it!
As a mentor mentioned the other day you must marry the process and divorce the outcome. Meaning that you must fall in love with process and understand that there are action steps required of you, that are going to get you to the payoff you desire!
Once you grasp this concept and accept that pain it’s part of the process, will you begin seeing the fruits of your hard work payoff. The payoff is the sweetest part of the pie! It’s the filling.
It’s where you to get to celebrate the accomplishment of staying the course and accomplishing what you set out to do. What’s even more important is what you become from the growth that has taken place during that process!
Life is too way short to live a life of mediocrity. Decide what you want to accomplish in life, create a plan, and work your plan till completion! ~JT
